Our story

Thistle BioLabs is a small research-materials supplier based in Scotland, built on a simple idea: buying research peptides in the UK should be straightforward, and the information around them should be clear enough to check. A name, a percentage or a long list of compounds is only a starting point. What matters is whether you can tell what is in the vial, which batch it came from and what the report for that batch actually shows.

Three habits behind the shop

• A clear identity for every product. Each listing gives the material, the amount per vial and the format, with technical data such as sequence and CAS number where it applies.
• Paperwork you can check. Where we have a laboratory report for a batch, it is on the product page and in our batch report lookup. When a report is a reference rather than a report for the vial sold, we say so plainly.
• A declaration with every order. Each buyer completes a short research-use declaration in the cart, saved with the order.

The catalogue is organised by research area, from tissue signalling and peptide signalling to mitochondrial and cellular and neuropeptide materials. The detail behind each habit is set out in the Thistle Standard.

The Thistle Journal

We also publish the Thistle Journal: plain-English guides to testing, storage and the published research, with sources and honest limits. Good places to start are what peptides are, how to read a peptide COA and our checklist for choosing a UK supplier.

The journal summarises other people’s research. We do not run clinical or laboratory studies ourselves, and we do not present other organisations’ findings as our own work.

What we do not do

We do not give dosing, administration or personal-use advice, and we do not supply anyone for human or veterinary use. Our materials are for in-vitro laboratory research and educational analysis only.
