1. Overview

These Terms govern the use of this website and the purchase of products from Thistle BioLabs (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing this website or submitting an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

2. Who we are

Thistle BioLabs is a trading name of a UK sole trader. Our trading name, postal address and contact details are published on our Legal & contact page. You can contact us at support@thistlebiolabs.co.uk.

Thistle BioLabs supplies laboratory-grade materials intended exclusively for lawful research, analytical and non-clinical investigative purposes.

3. Intended use

All products supplied are strictly intended for:

• Laboratory research
• Analytical testing
• Scientific evaluation
• Non-clinical investigative use

Products supplied by Thistle BioLabs:

• Are not medicines or licensed medicinal products
• Are not intended for human or veterinary use
• Must not be used for therapeutic, diagnostic, cosmetic or performance-related purposes

Before checkout you will be asked to complete a research-use declaration. By completing it and placing an order, you confirm that:

• You are 18 or over and purchasing for a business, institution or your own research work
• You are purchasing solely for lawful in-vitro research or analytical purposes
• You will not administer the products to any person or animal, or resell or supply them for that purpose
• You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations

We may refuse supply where intended use is unclear or non-compliant.

4. Age and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to place an order. We may request verification of identity or intended use where necessary.

5. Order process and acceptance

All orders are treated as order submissions and are reviewed before dispatch. Submission of an order does not constitute acceptance; an order is accepted when we dispatch it.

We may:

• Accept or decline any order
• Request further information, including for a first order
• Restrict quantities or limit supply
• Cancel orders where compliance concerns arise

If we decline or cancel an order that has been paid, we will refund the full amount, including delivery charges, to the original payment method, normally within one working day.

6. Customer responsibilities

Customers are responsible for ensuring that:

• Products are used strictly within a research setting
• Proper handling, storage and documentation procedures are followed
• Any required licences or approvals are obtained

To the extent permitted by law, Thistle BioLabs accepts no responsibility for misuse, unlawful possession or use outside the stated scope.

7. Delivery

We deliver within the United Kingdom only. Delivery times are estimates. Our Shipping Policy sets out dispatch aims, costs and what to do if a parcel is delayed or damaged.

8. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Cancellations, returns and refunds are handled under our Refund Policy and applicable UK consumer law, including your rights where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded. Subject to that, Thistle BioLabs is not liable for:

• Use outside intended research purposes
• Improper handling or storage after delivery
• Indirect or consequential losses
• Loss of business, profit or data

10. Information disclaimer

We do not provide medical advice, usage guidance, or dosage or application instructions. All product information is provided for identification and research reference only.

11. Responsible supply

Thistle BioLabs operates a controlled supply model and may refuse service, cancel orders or request further verification to support compliance and prevent misuse.

12. Intellectual property

All website content, including text, branding and materials, belongs to Thistle BioLabs and may not be reproduced without permission.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The version published when you place an order applies to that order.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your home nation.
